Working with our long-standing partner Daplast, our installation team carried out the fitting of the 10,000 AVATAR tip-up seats at the new Palais des Sports in Orléans. The venue forms part of a larger complex, the first of its kind in France, called the Centre Orléans Métropole (CO’Met). It brings together a 10,000-seat sports arena connected to a convention centre, a 16,000 m2 exhibition park (extendable to 33,000 m2) and the existing Zénith d’Orléans.

Construction of the complex was coordinated by Bouygues Constructions for a total cost of 140 million euros. Our fitters installed the seats on a site occupied by more than 400 people, with access conditions that were at times difficult (a single lift shared by all the companies on site) and staggered deliveries.
The installation ran over a period of roughly three months in total, split into several phases. It began with the upper tier of 4,500 general admission seats, then moved on to the VIP boxes with the AVATAR SUITE models, and finally the lower tiers with the AVATAR PREMIUM in the VIP areas as well as the telescopic stands.
Our teams also supplied and installed the 80 or so pitchside VIP armchairs. The Montreal armchairs are mounted on a tubular steel frame with castors, making them fully removable. Equip Event customised them with a label holder fitted to the back of the backrest.
These armchairs offer optimal comfort for a VIP area, with wide armrests and an integrated cup holder. The seat width and backrest height make them an ideal product for delivering a premium experience.

We would like to thank our long-standing partner Daplast for their trust, as well as Bouygues Bâtiment, the main contractor on this fine project. With several years of experience on large-scale schemes, do not hesitate to call on our teams to coordinate your sites!
